We understand that there are lots of questions you will want answers to before you book a venue and hopefully many of them have been answered by browsing our website.
However, below are a few frequently asked questions that might go someway towards helping you take the next step and book an appointment to view The Compasses.
This is the perfect opportunity to discuss your wedding visions in more detail with a member of the team. And we’re confident that you’ll walk away feeling assured that The Compasses at Pattiswick is the venue for you!
Do you accommodate same sex ceremonies?
Are we allowed to hold non traditional celebrations such as a Humanist ceremony?
Yes. We have no restrictions on the style of your ceremony.
How far in advance can we book?
You can usually book the registrars up to two years in advance. And you can book The Compasses at Pattiswick up to three years in advance!
How much is the booking deposit?
The initial booking deposit is £500 and this confirms your date.
Can we reserve a date without paying a deposit?
You are welcome to hold a date for up to seven days without paying a deposit. During this time we guarantee not to offer that date to any other couples.
Will we have exclusive use of the venue?
Yes, you will have exclusive use of the venue and garden for the entirety of your wedding day.
We are worried that our day will be split up into separate rooms?
We don’t like to ‘split the party’! The Compasses at Pattiswick offers an open plan layout that enables you to have the dancing in the same area as the wedding breakfast. We keep one of our bars separate and quiet which allows a space for those who might need it such as mothers with infants. Or the older generation wanting to escape the noise!
Can we use our own caterers?
No. In order to guarantee the highest culinary standards we work exclusively with our own trusted selection of caterers and suppliers.
How can we arrange to view the venue?
Please either ring us on 01376 561322 or email: [email protected]
We offer personal viewings by appointment seven days a week - subject to weddings and events taking place. We do ask that you do not visit without an appointment as we are unable to conduct viewings if we have a wedding taking place.
